About Us

Hey, there!

Welcome to our blog. We're glad you made it over here! If you know us well at all, you know we like to blog about stuff...life, fostering, photography, etc., so the idea of blogging about our adventures in our Little Guy camping trailer just seemed fitting.

Brian: real-life ninja, dog dad, mountain-biker, curious at heart, grill-master, Wyomingite, Tío B.

Julie: assistant principal, photographer, dog lover, candy snob, nap master, Pure Barre addict, Aunt FuFu.

The Hills Mobile is a Little Guy teardrop travel trailer with everything we need for a good adventure. A full tour of #thehillsmobile will be coming soon to our YouTube channel and our blog! The inside of #thehillsmobile includes a queen size bed, A/C, a fan, TV, Bluetooth stereo/DVD player, windows, and lots of storage. The galley includes a sink, stove, freezer/fridge, and more storage. We purchased #thehillsmobile from a dealer in Burnet, TX in December 2015. We absolutely love it!!!

We've been planning our ten-year anniversary trip (AKA #bearfood2016) since August 2015, yes, almost a year ago. At the time, we didn't really know where the trip would take us, we just knew we wanted to explore the western half of the U.S. I always joke about how I've never been to the Grand Canyon or California because my family couldn't stand to be in the car long enough to make it that far. Brian's family, on the other hand, made car trips work (despite traveling with THREE boys, God bless my mother-in-love.)

We embarked on our trip on Saturday, May 28th from Dallas, TX and returned on Thursday, June 9th. We stopped at some pretty awesome places along the way!

- Grand Canyon National Park
- Zion National Park
- Yosemite National Park
- Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park
- Palo Duro Canyon State Park
